Laurel Bellows, the principal of The Bellows Law Group, P.C., located in Chicago, and the immediate past president of the American Bar Association (ABA), will deliver the keynote address at the 27th Annual Hall of Fame Awards Luncheon during the 27th Annual Entrepreneurial Woman’s Conference, presented by the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC), on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Chicago’s McCormick Place, Lakeside Center, 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive.
The 27th Annual Hall of Fame Awards Luncheon, honoring successful women entrepreneurs as well as advocates who have demonstrated an enthusiastic commitment to strengthening women’s business ownership and economic development, will begin at 12 noon.
A longtime member of the WBDC Board of Directors, Ms. Bellows is past president of The Chicago Network, National Conference of Bar Presidents and recipient of the prestigious ABA Margaret Brent Award. A winner of countless awards and honors nationally and locally, she was named one of Working Mother magazine’s 25 Most Influential Working Mothers in the country in 1997. ATHENA International honored her with its prestigious 2012 ATHENA Leadership Award presented to exemplary leaders for achieving the highest level of professional excellence, and for actively assisting and inspiring women to realize their full personal and professional potential.

She is a past president of the Chicago Bar Association, one of Illinois’ largest bar associations, and was only its second woman president when she assumed the office in 1991.
